We're Working to Build a World that’s Free of Harassment and Filled with Humanity
Our purpose
We turn care into action

Our work focuses on turning the care we have for each other into simple, creative, effective action. We want to build a world that’s free of harassment and filled with humanity. Every day, we train hundreds of people to respond to, intervene in, and heal from harassment. We hold space for people experiencing harassment to share their stories for affirmation and support. And we prepare new leaders to create workplaces, schools, and communities around the world that are filled with humanity.

We are a global team of educators, motivators, and facilitators listening, guiding, and cheering you on. The world we want isn’t some far-off destination. It’s something we create and recreate, bit by bit, every day. It’s imperfect, courageous, beautiful work. It’s us. Here. Now.

proof & statistics
Our work amplifies the power each of us hold to create change.

We’ve exceeded every goal we set for ourselves. Right To Be (formerly Hollaback!) has been able to make an impact because of people like you. We recognize and affirm the humanity of each person and our work amplifies the power each of us hold to create change.

We directly trained 250,000+ people in how to intervene when they see harassment happen, respond to harassment, and de-escalate harassment, and our methodology has been used to train over 500,000 more.
76% of attendees who saw harassment after attending one of our trainings reported that they intervened.
We’ve collected over 32,000+ stories of harassment through our website and HeartMob, our platform that allows people to report their online harassment experience and have a vetted community of supporters.

This training gave me new tools to support someone experiencing discrimination. I had always thought my only option was to directly engage with the aggressor, which was terrifying to me. To know I have a lot of other tools I can use will be very helpful.

Training Attendee

Having completed this training, I feel empowered to respond to incidents of disrespect and bias in the workplace. And more importantly, I feel like my colleagues do too, and that together we are stronger.

I have nothing but positive things to say about our custom training from Right To Be (formerly Hollaback!). Our staff had expressed a need for training that would give us concrete tools to help us safely intervene if we witnessed something inappropriate, and this training delivered.
