Volunteer Hour

Training Information

Join us at our Volunteer Hour, a virtual event aimed to empower you to help us accomplish our mission – one action at a time. This hour-long event will invite participants to help us track media stories of hate and hope on Right To Be’s Hate and Hope Tracker. Collecting these stories will help us understand how harassment is happening across the country and what are the most impacted communities. The session will be led by two members of the Right To Be team. We will begin with a welcome activity and set ground rules. Then we will guide you through how to turn care into action: identify stories of Hope and Hate from trusted news sources and inputting them into our hate and hope tracker with the goal of shining a light on stories that can help us identify trends in hate. We will talk about the impacts of storytelling and how monitoring hate through our Hate and Hope tracker contributes to our mission of addressing harassment.
